0xc0000005 Crash to Desktop

Crashdump shows bf6!isGlimpseEnabled+0xfe780c

or

bf6!ffxFsr2ResourceIsNull+0x241f765

in the stack. I'm very far from the only one sufferring this nonsense.

This issue has been around for MONTHS and the fix is way overdue - its affecting many players. I'm becoming fed up and Im considering a refund. Ive had this crash since I bought the game (I thought it was an oveheating i9 processor originally - its definately not) and I can't believe its still happenning.

Ive tried every "fix" I can find  from reinstalling everything up;  nothing works, and thats also the consensus from players are affected by the issue.

My PC is far more than adequate, EA should be embarressed this hasn't been sorted out by now - its not a glitch with a challenge or the UI, its the whole game crashing without warning every 2-30 minutes, this should be of the highest priority.

I am more than happy to assist in any way possible to get this horrible bug sorted out. I have a directory full of crashdumps  if you'd like a copy.

  • Hey I read your post and I am in exactly the same situation. Same FSR2 function in my crash dumps ffxFsr2ResourceIsNull same crashes for months same frustration. The game calls FSR2 functions even when FSR is disabled in settings confirmed in multiple crash dumps over several months

It appears that the season 2 patch did nothing to solve this problem.

The funny thing is that this problem may APPEAR to those who initially did not encounter it after any update, I have seen several such topics in steam and here. I didn't have any problems on the new map specifically, but someone else has them on it) It's just random

I get it on all maps but some seem worse than others. The new map is exceptionally bad, the fastest crash was within 5 seconds of joining.

Since the release, I've had crashes more often on some maps, much less often on others, and the ratio has changed over time. Anyway, on Amd's website in one of the latest driver updates, I read that AMD and DICE are working together on this particular problem, so far for a particular graphics card, this is the only official recognition of the problem at the moment as far as I know. I hope this is a harbinger of a fix coming soon)

FYI Skeytik and anyone else following this, my last crash was 2 or 3 days ago and Ive played a few hours in that time. I had decided to reset all my CPU underclocking (i9 13900K cooling workarounds) as it had made no difference to stability in BF6. I defaulted the bios back to a non-performance option and rebooted. Somehow, OC genie (an automatic overclock utility) ran. Now I didn't deliberately try to run it so I don't know how or why it launched. When my PC rebooted, steam also downloaded a patch to BF6. Since that patch / OC genie event BF6 has not crashed once.

I can't tell you what stopped the crashing; the bios settings or the patch. However if you are still crashing, and you have an auto OC utility maybe give it a shot?

If I hear crashing is still happening I'll dig a bit into the bios changes OC genie made because its done something good... I just wish I knew what it was.

Also note I did GPU driver delete and reinstall using DDU and when I reinstalled I didn't put back the Nvidia app, just the drivers.
