Battle Pass Items and Skins Unusable & Attachment Lock
Platform: PC
Severity: Affects customization and paid content
Description of the Issue:
A set of issues exists related to Battle Pass items (specifically Weapon Blueprints/Skins) where items are unlocked but unusable, and weapon customization is inconsistently restricted.
1. Unlocked Skins Cannot Be Equipped
Some weapon skins/blueprints unlocked via the Battle Pass are marked as unlocked/acquired but cannot be selected or equipped on the corresponding weapon in the loadout screen.
- Weapon/Skin Example: LMG L110 - "Canis Lups" Blueprint.
- Steps to Reproduce:
- Purchase the Battle Pass (Confirmed).
- Unlock the "Canis Lups" blueprint for the L110 LMG via Battle Pass progression.
- Go to the L110 LMG in the Loadout menu and navigate to the skins/blueprints.
- The "Canis Lups" skin is shown as unlocked, but attempting to equip it results in it reverting to the base skin or being unable to be selected.
- Screenshot 1: Showing the 'Canis Lups' skin as unlocked in the Battle Pass or Inventory.
- Screenshot 2: Showing the L110 Loadout screen where the skin cannot be equipped.
- Additional Case: The NATO Faction Sniper Rifle skin "Speak No Evil" is also unlocked via the Battle Pass but cannot be equipped.
2. Inconsistent Attachment Customization on Battle Pass Blueprints (Weapon Unlocked via Blueprint Only)
When a player unlocks a weapon via a Battle Pass Blueprint before unlocking the base weapon normally (e.g., through progression or challenges), the customization of attachments is restricted.
- Weapon/Skin Example: PSR Sniper Rifle Blueprint (Unlocked via BP, Base Weapon is still LOCKED).
- Steps to Reproduce (PSR Sniper Rifle):
- Purchase the Battle Pass (Confirmed).
- Unlock the PSR Sniper Rifle Blueprint via Battle Pass progression. (The base PSR weapon remains locked).
- Equip the PSR Blueprint.
- Attempt to modify the attachments (cannot modify attachments). The attachment modification screen is inaccessible or locked.
- This suggests that while the Blueprint allows the use of the base weapon, the inability to modify attachments is tied to the base weapon still being technically locked.
- Screenshot 3: Showing the Loadout screen for the PSR Blueprint, highlighting the inability to modify attachments (e.g., a greyed-out or locked attachment button).
- Weapon/Skin Example (Control Case): M4A1 Blueprint (Unlocked via BP, Base Weapon is ALREADY Unlocked).
- Observation (M4A1): When using the M4A1 Blueprint, the player CAN freely modify all attachments.
- Conclusion/Hypothesis: The attachment restriction on the PSR only occurs because the player has not yet achieved the Base Weapon Unlock. This is likely a bug, as the Blueprint should grant full customization access to the weapon it provides.
- Screenshot 4: Showing the Loadout screen for the M4A1 Blueprint, highlighting the ability to freely modify attachments (to contrast with the PSR).
