Campaign Launch Issue (freeze) PC

Took a while to figure this out but there is a bug connected to V-sync turned on and trying to launch Campaign. It gets as far as loading into the initial load screen and a couple movements of the "periods" on the bottom right then just freezes. Turn V-sync off and everything is in working order. Would be nice to not have to switch setting each time I want to tap into a Campaign mission.

Ryzen 5600x, Strix RTX 3080, 32gb ram, game is loaded on M.2 - 1tb,
