Can't launch on steam

So I purchased BF6 through steam. I can not get it to launch unless I perform certain steps. If I try to launch it normally the launcher loads and then it silent closes after the game tries to start. No crash logs or anything. 

But if I unplug my Internet once the launcher loads and the green bar has filled the game will load perfectly fine every time. My buddy has the same issue. I'm assuming its something to do with the launcher doing checks before launching the BF6.exe. 

A number of users on steam are having the same issue. Judging by the amount of discussion threads.
