    You are right. It was placed there durning training and to not loose it. It is still stupid to put it in the game.

    I'm sorry, but you are incorrect. It's detachable and used to be used on the bottom of the gun to stop it from being lost when other optics were being used (it was required to be carried at all times).

    There are also plenty of images of US soldiers using it in this way during the Second Gulf War if you search Google Images.

    No dude. The carry handle goes on top bc it also has sights built into it. It is not intended to be used as a grip. At this point I’m just going to assume they did it as a meme

  • That's intended as it's how the US military used to use them on the M16A4. If you search for it, you should see photos.
