Gas mask button does not work

Just took a round of Casual Breakthrew.

none of the players was able to equip gas mask on the new map.

Both the hint and the information in the middle of the screen told me to equip,

But the X is greyed out and wasn't available. 

Asked other players on the same session which seems to have the same issue.

Mines  is the same on ps5, I changed the face gear button bind to d-pad down, left and right aswel and still can't equip the mask. Even unbinding the buttons for what they normally do 1st.

I played normal breakthrough on the new map, and there was no gas on my first 6 matches, then played 1 casual breakthrough and there was gas. But couldn't equip the mask.

also adding having the same experience on controller/Pc no matter what i change the binding too does nothing, blind firing in gas at ghosts xD

same for me, I thought that I had broken the bind so chose a different key that wasnt linked to anything else and it still doesnt work. But the game is a hot mess after the update, I assume its just one of the bugs that they have bundled together for S2.

Gas mask not working In bf6 on ps5 no matter what bindings I set it to. People on both sides of matches myself included are saying this is broken. What is the problem here? Did you guys only test this new season on one device before launch? You guys postponed the release date once already and then when we do get it it is broken. Help me fix this please. I love this game but it doesn’t seem like your developers feel the same. This among other issues are about to be the straw that broke the camel’s back. Fix the things your  audience is giving you feedback on not the things that nobody is asking for.

Same can’t equip gas mask and haven’t talked to anyone who is able to do it

Unfortunately, I have the same problem, and so do the other members of my team. :(

It's working for me. (UP on the D-Pad) but you gotta hold it for 0.5-1.0 sec. If you tap it quickly is does something else.

Description: On the new map, I have started matchs with the mask being in my inventory already (on its own no selection necessary, Map working as intended). Now on other occasions when the map is selected randomly outside the set playlist on Multiplayer playlist thats active right now, say if your playing casual and it cycles to that, when loaded in the mask is not present. (This also happens with the gas, sometimes the gas is on, and sometimes it is off.) 

In the instance below, the gas was present, but the mask was not present in inventory, YET it was prompted when the player gets into the gas area, but the action was locked. (see attached)

Im not sure what the intended goal is in each Observed instance. Like was this intended by the Devs? per each scenario or not. For sure I know that the action being locked is not intended, but sometimes the gas is not there? is that intended? or is that a bug? or how about when there is gas and no prompt?

Observed Instances:
1. Map is loaded with Gas and Gas Mask.
2. Map is Loaded with no gas and no gas mask in equipment.
3. Map is Loaded with Gas and Gas Mask Action is locked.

Expected Results: If Gas is present in the map, then the gas mask should be automatically in the players equipment and not be locked OR if Gas is present and Gas Mask is not present then the action should not be locked. (im not sure what the devs intended goal was in each scenario)

Actual Results:
When gas is present on the map the Gas Mask sometimes is unavailable 

Reproduction Steps (for attached video):
1. Launch BF6.EXE
2. Choose the new map playlist 
3. Observe that some loads of the map, have the mask in the inventory, and some loads do not.
4. If the load has no mask in inventory and has gas, have the player go into the gas and observe that it is locked.

Reproduction Steps (for no gas to appear)
1. Launch BFE6.EXE
2. Choose Casual for the map
3. Wait until rotation sets its to the new map
4. Observe there is no gas present

Apologize that this one is a bit long, and can be confusing but im just going off the observed instances  and wondering which one is the absolute correct one.
