Hey Devs,
I've just loaded into the game and ran into the gas and it was telling me a weird button, nothing. So I went into the options, selected the facegear and set it to a key, back into the game and it now says to press that button, great... Pressing it does nothing, holding it does nothing.
I cannot equip the gas mask at all when in the smoke making it useless for me.

When playing casual breakthrough on the new map contaminated the feature to put on a gask mask doesnt work?!
I am not the only one with this problem !
I play on playstation if that helps

I've had the same problem. Also on PS5 and Casual Breakthrough.
(It's still playable, thankfully: there's something challenging and eerie in all those hallucinations and trying to tell where the enemies are...)
Can confirm on casual breakthrough the mask does not exist. The UI tell you to "hold X to equip gas mask" but there is no gas mask symbol on the HUD and holding X doesn't do anything.
Same on PS5 - Doesn’t work with any button binding I set.
Guess no playing the objective on the contaminated map :(
I have had the same bug.
Casual breakthrough randomly enters Gas mode, but gas mask key not working in Casual breakthrough.
same thought I know bind to a different key tried and mouse button and though try 7 and nope
While playing casual breakthrough on ps5 it does not show the mask to equip. But while playing the contaminated it shows!
Not tried it - but on PC (in key bindings) it say 'Hold' X for face coverings...
It is 'tap' for other things
it straight up doesn't work consistently
