This seems to be an issue with hip aim and cross hairs. when hardcore mode is selected the above optics no longer work in vehicles. I understand the cross hair on screen. no one wants this in hardcore. what we NEED is the reticles in vehicles. Please i think there are around 100K people enjoying hardcore at the moment and this has been a bug since 2042 portal....
I think having no reticles in vehicles makes things indeed harder, particularly for pilots controlling attack helicopters. Aiming when there is a tilt is hard, and it doesn't bring gameplay tactics, more like unnecessary complexity to the game play. Ground vehicles are easy to adopt and use. However, they require some open position shots to adjust (not so good for close encounters).
Other than that, it's a well-balanced mode, maybe damage could be revised to be more per shot.
Valid bug that ruins HC vehicle experience.
