class loadouts persistent orange dot won't go away After reviewing all the items from attachments and skins or stickers
The orange/red dots that indicates a new attachment has been unlocked are entirely unpredictable. Some weapons you can clear the new attachment icon and it will still show the orange dot on the weapon thumbnail (no, this is not occurring from new weapon blueprints). Some weapons you can clear all new attachments and still have orange dots present on the attachment section. It is virtually impossible to distinguish which guns actually have new attachments and which have faulty icons on them. For reference, I am on PC but my friends on Xbox have also reported this issue. Unsure about PS.
In the above screenshots you can see that it's telling me I have a new item on foregrips. Once I click into the section, there is nothing new available. This isn't the only instance of the problem but context for what I'm referring to. This seems to randomly reset itself as it isn't persistent, presumably on game restart or some other event. This means the problem isn't staying but it is certainly not updating at the times that it should. If I clear the notification of a new attachment it should go away. This is a call of duty problem, c'mon.

it has been 4 months and they still didn´t fix it, there are a lot of unbalance and bugs and problems that makes every match unplayble.... which team did you mean? maybe the "team" is sleeping :D
Been four months and either it's still an issue or it's returned. Unlock a weapon package in Battlepass and the 'new' mark canot be cleared .
When in the world are you going to fix this as this affects every single customer. Fix it now.
Just wanted to confirm this is still occuring on Xbox. I have unlocked new attachments and gone through them all to check what was new, and I still have the notification dot on the main weapon thumbnails.
Can confirm still an issue to this day. I'm on PS5 and I cannot remove the thumbnail notification for one of my weapons (Kord assault rifle) despite me already having gone through all attachments. This results in all my classes having the notification.
whatever bit needs to be flipped to remove the orange dot after you click on the new skin, decal, or charm does not seem to happen until you restart the game.
And for Gods sake either limit characters we can enter into the Post title to 80 or give us a character count e.g. 103/80, The "Post Title must be less than 80 characters" is annoying as hell, I do not think anyone counts the characters as they type them.
Plus some post tiles need to be more than 80 characts to be accurate

Description: The USG-90 is showing that optical accessorys has a new unlocked, but theres is nothing that is new, nor an orange notification bubble. Im assuming that this also happens with some other guns but for now im going to put down for just the USG-90, Will update this post as I observe more weapons
Expected Results: If there is a new attachment unlocked that the attachment is properly labeled with an orange notification buble
Acutal Results: USG-90 is showing that something is unlocked, but nothing actually is.
Reproduction Steps:
1. Launch BF6.EXE
2. Level up USG-90 to ( I think 30)
3. Observe Optics Attachment saying something unlocked but nothing is.

Sorry but it happens every playsession with every first two weapons I unlock attachments with. Without exception. Every time I unlock something, the "dot" gets locked and does not go away. Same for the second weapon I unlock something for. This bug has happened on every single Battlefield game since ever and I dont get why there is no "clear notifications" button to begin with. How many franchise entrys are needed to learn from this?
I think I know what your issue is, The attachment that is on your Optic Accessory that is causing the orange dot to show is most likely a Piggyback sight and you have to have a scope equipped that it can attach to (such as the ST PRISM 5.00X) in order for it to show up on the list of Optic Attachments.
This has been a bug since the game came out 2 seasons now amd it still happens. The lazy **bleep** dont know how to fix a simple bug is pretty pathetic makes sense though it is EA shouldn't expect much
The orange dot that appears to indicate that weapon has a new attachment sometimes does not clear when all new attachments have been viewed. It appears to be that every time a "new" attachment is cleared, a check is done to see if the weapon wide dot should go away. This check appears to also check if there are any camos, charms, or stickers that have not been seen. Viewing the "new" camo, charmm, or sticker clears the marker for that item, but does not update the overall notification for the weapon.
Figured this out after having to clear the "new" notifications for the new universal attachments introduced with the nightfall update. Also would be nice to have a "clear all new" button that gets rid of all of the dots, and make the "new" notification for universal attachments clear for all weapons once it has been viewed on one.
This happens on ps5 too. I had the bug before this update and its even worse now..

I have the orange dot on e eything now and after earn new weapon it says new by every one of them. You get a added item to the item to the weapon and the orange dot on mine stays there now also.

I’m not sure if this is happening with everyone else, but for me specifically, I have “new unlocks” on already unlocked weapons and when I go through them individually and thoroughly, I still that little notification thingy that says there’s still something new. I’ve quit and reloaded the game (I’m on XBOX Series X) and even reset my console but those **bleep** notifications won’t disappear.
Any and all tips, tricks and help are greatly appreciated.

It appears to have been a bug from the most recent update. There's another report below, and a few other posts on the different boards here as well.
Most likely, it'll be something the Dice will need to fix.
I'm experiencing similar bugs... For example, the "New." icon on all Kord weapons doesn't disappear when I hover over it, and I have a yellow dot that remains on the Scorpion and the Glock even though I've checked everything...
Same here for all Kord Weapons, VCR-2, KV9, SV-98 and DB-12. The "New." icon doesn't want to disappear even after restarting the game, reopening weapon menu and rechecking all the attachments. This is a pretty annoying bug, as I can't really check for new unlocks.
No wonder its still not fixed when, the dev team got slashed in half.
