I suspect they introduced too many servers vs players, so we have, let's say 512 players split between 30 servers, instead of 512 players split between 8-10 servers.

It has been terrible and disappointing. The Beta was amazing, full games, even some with queues to join friends. Now it's just empty 8v8 servers with bots fulling. Experience is kinda ruined, if it can't get fixed in soon I assume people might just give up on this game in our country.

Yeah this is a big problem. Hopefully some adjustments to matchmaking can be done to fix the problem and also make the Portal server browser include a south africa region

Same here from South Africa. Every time when I start searching for a game, it takes 3 seconds for me to load in and I'm the only one there. So the game seems more focused on starting a new server rather than trying to find and join an existing one. Had no issues like this in the Beta

Pleease EA, during beta it worked great and there were so many players but now after launch its just bots everywhere

This wouldn't be a problem if dedicated and persistent servers were a thing for non-Portal modes

The beta worked fine with no bots and now at full release i have to play this crap with more bots than real players. Already refunded the game, what a waste of time and money.

Yeah honestly really disappointed after how great it was in the beta.

All weekend I thought there weren’t that many people on the BF6 hype train like me. Turns out there are plenty of you out there! Great to see, honestly.

The bot issue has really been bothering me, though. I loaded up a game last night before bed, and it ended up being a full bot lobby so I just logged off. It’s a bit sad, especially since the beta was so much fun with everyone queuing up together and even waiting to get into a server, just like the good old BF4 days.

I really hope they fix the matchmaking soon. I want to believe there’s still a strong BF6 community in South Africa, I just can’t believe everyone dropped it for BO7.

This is the best explanation I have seen on the issue. Well said. Absolutely loving the experience when I get lucky enough to get a proper lobby. Otherwise it’s 70 percent bots in every match. It does not need to be this way. I know a whole other bunch of servers exist where people are also playing against mostly bots :/ hope to God it gets sorted soon

Nice to see im not the only ZA boy out there that has an issue with this. I was trying my heart out to setup a server for us but they constantly dont have resources available for me to setup a persistent server to at least have something to play on without bots. And local hosting is out of the picture for me.

Yeah, bots are not fun to play against. The lobby disbanding should only happen when there are enough players in other lobbies.

I'm from South Africa and wanted to raise an issue with Battlefield 6 matchmaking.

The matchmaking system doesn’t seem to work well in lower population regions. We have enough players, but we’re still getting AI-heavy lobbies.

Please look into improving matchmaking and server distribution for regions like ours.

Yeah my experience for this has been completely ruined. No matter what game mode I try or what time I play it's usually just 6-8 players per side and the rest are bots. It's really sad. The rest of the world gets to experience the best Battlefield since 4 and we are experiencing something completely different and boring. I hope they can do something about this.
