Hi EA team. I am from South Africa and have found that no matter which gamemode i play. The game throws me into an empty lobby. I wait for a minute for players to join, usually around 12 people join but because we have a lower player count in south africa than say Europe. The game thinks people are taking too long to join and starts after a minute of waiting, it then fills the game with bots. So its like one 3rd of the lobby is real people the rest of the lobby are bots. This is really frustrating as we do have enough people to fill the lobby as usually at the end of the round its mostly filled with real people. This is a problem as we are all just playing against bots even though there are enough players to fill matches. Only way of fixing it that I can think of is to let the game when a new round start take 4 times longer before it starts filling with bots. Please fix this EA as I love the game but majority bot lobbies are kinda ruining the game.
I suspect they introduced too many servers vs players, so we have, let's say 512 players split between 30 servers, instead of 512 players split between 8-10 servers.
It has been terrible and disappointing. The Beta was amazing, full games, even some with queues to join friends. Now it's just empty 8v8 servers with bots fulling. Experience is kinda ruined, if it can't get fixed in soon I assume people might just give up on this game in our country.
All weekend I thought there weren’t that many people on the BF6 hype train like me. Turns out there are plenty of you out there! Great to see, honestly.
The bot issue has really been bothering me, though. I loaded up a game last night before bed, and it ended up being a full bot lobby so I just logged off. It’s a bit sad, especially since the beta was so much fun with everyone queuing up together and even waiting to get into a server, just like the good old BF4 days.
I really hope they fix the matchmaking soon. I want to believe there’s still a strong BF6 community in South Africa, I just can’t believe everyone dropped it for BO7.
This is the best explanation I have seen on the issue. Well said. Absolutely loving the experience when I get lucky enough to get a proper lobby. Otherwise it’s 70 percent bots in every match. It does not need to be this way. I know a whole other bunch of servers exist where people are also playing against mostly bots :/ hope to God it gets sorted soon

Yeah this is a big problem. Hopefully some adjustments to matchmaking can be done to fix the problem and also make the Portal server browser include a south africa region
Same here from South Africa. Every time when I start searching for a game, it takes 3 seconds for me to load in and I'm the only one there. So the game seems more focused on starting a new server rather than trying to find and join an existing one. Had no issues like this in the Beta
Pleease EA, during beta it worked great and there were so many players but now after launch its just bots everywhere

This wouldn't be a problem if dedicated and persistent servers were a thing for non-Portal modes
The beta worked fine with no bots and now at full release i have to play this crap with more bots than real players. Already refunded the game, what a waste of time and money.
Yeah honestly really disappointed after how great it was in the beta.
