The new item hint (yellow dot) doesn't go even when there's no new item at all

Update:  

Today my game crashed twice (first it just suddenly went back to the desktop, the second time even caused a BSOD), after a full reboot of my PC the game told me that my personal files are damaged and were automatically reset. True that all my personal settings like graphics and input were gone, but so were all these yellow dots. 🧐
