Hello, I own the game on steam, I just updated the game and when I try to launch it, I see the anticheat window pop up, etc. and then a black windows opens (attached image) for a few seconds, which then closes and nothing else happens. No game is opened at all. I already verified integrity of the game files via Steam, and also restart the PC, nothing worked.
I am actually on 26.6.4 right now.
if you have AMD gpu don't use drivers 26.6.2, roll back to 26.6.1
1. Uninstall BF6 with Revo - full scan, all accounts, delete all leftovers
2. Clear Steam cache, shaders, and temp files if on Steam (idk if there’s something similar on EA app)
3. Reboot into Safe Mode, Uninstall graphics driver with DDU
4. Reboot to normal mode and manually find+delete all BF6/EA/Frostbite leftovers in AppData, Program Files, (x86) , /Common Files, Program Data, etc
5. Reinstall GPU driver, reinstall BF6 (if on NVIDIA, set “Shader Pre-compiling” for BF6 to “High” with NVPI before launching BF6)
A. Ensure you’re not on a Preview Build of Windows 11. If you are, you have a rollback window. If it’s too late, you may have to wait until the next non-preview update. I’d recommend turning off preview updates or declining them.
