So the moment i customize a weapon to my liking every time i join a game my gun resets to its basic form and i have to equip all attachments again. The moment you are back in the menu the gun is reset again. Same when you join a new game. Does someone know a workaround or a fix?

Yup, every new match i spend about 5 mins having to redo all my loadouts.
I had this issue, then I realized I had picked a weapon package before entering the customization screen, so after modifying it, it would revert back to the weapon package's original set-up after every game. Once I selected the vanilla version of the gun before customizing it, my changes saved. Might work for you if you made the same mistake I did.
I have noticed this attachment reset issue with the DRS IAR and I am not using a weapon package, just the vanilla/factory gun. For a while it was saving changes correctly but recently I changed to the slanted grip with no muzzle attachment (to allocate points elsewhere) and after every match it resets to flash hider + bipod, but keeps my other changes (for example my choice of barrel/scope doesn't revert to default)
