I don't agree that it's just the AI's difficulty imbalance.
The fact that cars do not have traction and that they slip like ice is also a problem, that the traction control excessively reduces the speed when cornering is also a problem.
It's not that the AI goes fast, it's that you can't because the car doesn't have traction even with active aids, since with aids it slows down excessively.
I think the rain control problem should be reviewed before.
Let’s start with a premise: the current difficulty in wet conditions at level 110 offers a solid and engaging challenge for high-level drivers — for example, someone competing in PSGL F2 on PC. I can say this confidently based on firsthand experience.
So, the difficulty level in the wet at 110 is generally well balanced. The issue arises when compared to dry conditions: if you’re losing around a second per lap in the wet at 110, in the dry — at the same difficulty — you often find yourself faster than the AI.
This imbalance leads to two main problems:
The difficulty is inconsistent across weather conditions, which penalizes those looking for a uniform racing experience.
Players seeking a fair challenge in the dry are forced to raise the difficulty, which then makes wet conditions overly punishing.
Here’s a practical example: suppose that in order to have a challenging but manageable race in the wet — without overdriving or going beyond your natural limits, and while keeping a stable, clean line — you set the difficulty to 80. In a well-balanced game, you should be able to race in the dry at the same level (80) and get a similar challenge. Instead, due to the current imbalance, you're probably running at 90 in the dry to get the same intensity.
The solution is simple: improve the balance between dry and wet conditions so that the level of challenge is consistent across both, at the same AI level. This would offer a more realistic and satisfying experience for all players.
However, it’s crucial to note that this balancing should not be achieved by lowering the difficulty in the wet. While that would technically create balance, it would disappoint players who already find the AI too easy in the dry, even at 110. The preferable solution is to improve the AI's performance in dry conditions, so that the challenge becomes consistent without diminishing the quality of the wet-weather experience.

As I said, I don't see it the same way you do.
In dry conditions, I play at 100 difficulty, with a steering wheel and no assistance, and I can steer the car without any problems and be competitive (I'm not a pro).
I don't want to think about the people who play with a controller. In the rain, it's impossible to steer the car safely; it feels like you're driving on ice. If I use assistance, the car brakes on every corner, making it impossible to keep up with the race pace.
I still think the handling in the rain needs to be reviewed before the AI adjustments.
Not everyone who buys this game is a pro, nor do they claim to be; some of us just want to have fun playing and these types of problems prevent that from happening.
