the AI’s pace in wet conditions on the wet tyres is far too quick and it’s impossible to keep up with them. Even changing to inters and doing faster lap times the AI are still going quicker on worn wet tyres. It’s almost like they have unlimited traction

Not sure if it is some link to when DRS is Deactivated. Raced on Spa where it started to rain slightly mid race, but never got to the point where DRS was disabled, and my pace was not skewed to the AI and was easily able to compete, so pace stayed +/- 0.2 seconds difference.
Next race I did which went from dry to wet was around Spain; again I could keep up when we were all in dry tyres with the track getting wetter, within 0.2 of the car infront - but the second DRS was deactivated, I lost 1.5 seconds within half a lap before we all pitted, then continuously 2+ seconds a lap when pace was equal in the dry.If it is, not sure if it’s down to a significant Player pace decrease, or down to AI having minimal/no pace reduction when deactivated, or both!

Totally agree. Not even worth playing career mode or my team until this is fixed

Same issues with wet weather AI as last game. On wet and inter tires I have to turn traction control on to medium just to be able to control the car, and yes I am altering my setup for wet weather, even then the AI cars take off from the medium and low speed corners like it’s dry while I’m spinning the wheels just trying to get grip.
I actually think it’s less an AI issue as it is your car is more adversely affected by the wet weather than the AI and it makes the game a lot of not very fun when there’s wet weather. I suppose next time I should try 0-0 on the anti roll bars and Monaco levels of wing regardless of the track I am at, see if I get grip with that.
As much as I want variable weather for immersion, and I enjoy the challenge of racing in the changing conditions, with the way the AI seems to completely ignore rain I would really like to be able to turn it off for career mode.

Montreal qualifying in the wet.
Full TC and brake assist, AI down by 10, differential to 80 and brake balance to the rear.
Despite having a car that qualified top 3 in the first 5 races, I qualified 21. My car had no stability, the AI cars were on rails with amazing traction out of slow corners.
I wish I had simmed the race.
PLEASE give us the option to turn wet racing off till you fix this!

It’s the only Issue that is preventing me from fully enjoying the game… on some tracks it’s simply game breaking.
My suggestions:
- Either boost dry ai pace to make it closer to the high wet weather pace of the ai and benefit even more by happy high skill players who kinda complained about the “too easy” skill cap at 110 dry weather ai.
- Nerf the wet weather ai pace to become linear with the dry pace and earn the well deserved respect for this great game that is only hindered by this bug at the moment.
I only feel bad for the XBOX/PS5 players because eventually games got fixed by community made mods in the past.
It’s possible to create mods by exporting the xml files out of the .erp archives, adjusting some values and importing the edited ones after applying changes. However the structure of the .erp files and testing for a balanced experience makes this a time consuming process and I can only hope someone puts in the time and effort for a mod to fix this issue. - shazzalady136 months agoSeasoned Hotshot
Obviously we want the issue to be sorted but if it can’t be wouldn’t it just be much better if they admitted they can’t do anything about it and then figure out a way to make the game a bit more enjoyable like turning off wet weather or something else. That way we can all get on with playing a game we want to play.

H4rdy2412 Unfortunately I think your right but I hope they enjoy losing a lot of money then because I won’t chance wasting my money again on a game that is hardly worth playing and I can imagine there are many people who think the same thing.

we wont getting a fix, they dont care, alone that there is no communication about it from EAs side shows it exactly, game is already dead for me and unplayable without mods

We absolutely need a fix for this. It's unplayable
It will of course depend on the track, but I can't lose 2.5 seconds a lap in wet conditions, c'mon...
