Their attempt at fixing the AI speed in the rain was miniscule to say the least. They needed to fix the players car rather than concentrating on the AI. It's so obvious what the issue is.
I've been saying it for months, the players car in the wet as insufficient rear traction and upshifts way to early before the peak power is reached. A combination of these two massive oversights is why we are slow in direct comparison to the AI in the wet.
It's just so poor again. I can keep up with the AI on my difficulty setting, but when it's dry I am way faster than the AI on the same difficulty setting.
When doing a championship it's so frustrating having to adjust the difficulty levels just because of the weather.
It is so unprofessional that EA and Codemasters actually perceived it to be acceptable to release the game like this in the first place. It tells me what it wasn't even tested internally.
And then to not patch it properly after the thousands of complaints isn't good enough!

Dude the early upshift on wet tyres is still happening for me. Makes racing AI in rain completely impossible on higher difficulty
