DSQ in wet Monaco race: mandatory dry-tyre rule wrongly applied to wet tyres
Game: F1 25 (latest, incl. 2026 Season Pack)
Mode: Career Grand Prix, Monaco GP, 27 laps, wet race
Platform: PC
WHAT HAPPENED:
I was disqualified on lap 27 with the message "Failed to use enough different tyre sets".
MY STRATEGY:
- Started on FULL WET
- 1 pit stop, switched to INTERMEDIATE
- Finished the race on intermediates
That is a perfectly legal wet-race strategy. In real Formula 1, the "two different dry compounds" rule does NOT apply to wet tyres (full wet + intermediate are both wet tyres, not dry compounds).
WHY THIS IS A BUG:
1. The DSQ message says "different tyre sets" but I DID use two different tyre sets (full wet -> intermediate).
2. The mandatory "two compounds" rule is being applied to WET tyres, which are exempt in the real FIA sporting regulations.
3. Other AI drivers did the SAME full-wet -> intermediate strategy with 2 pit stops and were NOT disqualified - the rule seems to count pit stops inconsistently.
4. This bug has existed across multiple F1 titles (2016, 2020, 2023, 2024) - the wet-race mandatory-tyre rule has never been fixed properly.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
Wet-race strategies using only wet tyres should be exempt from the mandatory "two dry compounds" rule, exactly like the real FIA rules.
I have the session results CSV showing the DSQ at 40:03.096 on lap 27 if needed. Please fix this - it's ruining wet races.
