For some reason also, a friend of mine in my steam family can play it no problem but I even made a new account and reshared it with myself in the same way and still nothing... It might just need a whole new computer in general. 

Any luck yet?

Same thing happened to me.

Quite a shame I cant access the game I paid good money for.

Here's all the methods that I have tried (and also failed): Updated my drivers, as suggested. Clean install. Linked EA and Steam. Checked game files. Went through 15 forums (this issue has been happening for years and seemingly unfixed).

yesterday i spent a whole day trying to solve this problem and i couldn't, i tried everything. i uninstalled the game, cleaned the files, started a restore point... i even contacted support and they couldn't solve it. today i'll try to format the pc.
