i had this problem too and tried everything. i was about to get a refund through steam. my documents folder points to my NAS. i changed it to be my local drive (c drive) and not the NAS and now the game runs for me with no problems. i had no problem with F1 19-24 with my documents folder being on the NAS. i hate having to change my computer and try all kinds of solutions just to get a game running. not sure how many people keep their documents on a network drive but if you do, try changing it to a local drive. this worked for me. I do hope they fix this particular issue or wish there was a way to specify the save location other than the documents folder so i can get my other documents back. good luck!
By the way Devs, these are my error report codes that I dont think have been recognised:

Sorry to those who've asked for a fix, I've not been checking the forums since I had my issue solved! I've copied the exact message I received below for others to try and fix. Apologies again for the delay in response! KingAuxaz MemZ561 AzizGamer81
"Could you please try renaming this file 'c:\windows\system32\gfsdk_aftermath_lib.x64.dll' to 'gfsdk_aftermath_lib.x64.dll.backup' and try launching F1 25 again."
Once again, sorry I didn't share this sooner. Hopefully it fixes some people's issues! - craw1697 months agoSeasoned Spectator
how many more dxdiag.txt's do you want before it goes from "needs info"

The OP still has the issue, still hasn't posted info and Groguet is dealing with not just this query.

Nice to meet you. I didn't have the file you mentioned. I would like to get support too, so please tell me where I can get the help from Codemasters that you mentioned.😭😭😰😰🙇♂️🙇♂️

I posted my DXDIAG.txt days ago and received no help or feedback. The game won't start, so I can't contribute any error codes. I also asked why my F1_25.exe still has version 1.0125.15x and there is no patch to 1.03 anywhere (on Steam) and it doesn't install automatically.
I didn't get an answer to this question either. For me, it is clear that an unfinished game has been deliberately thrown onto the market in order to take money out of customers' pockets and to save on costly, labor-intensive and expensive support. EA/Codemasters will certainly never see me as a customer again and I hope that many readers will also consider this.
My return period has now expired on Steam because I had last pinned my hopes on the 1.03 patch. Although I haven't played a second yet, the numerous attempts to start the game have added up to an alleged playing time of well over an hour. So I can write off my money for this junk software. What remains are countless hours of installing/uninstalling software, drivers, frustration and even more annoyance.

don't get me started on one drive! i have to fight to make sure it is disabled on my windows computers every time and MS does not make it easy. cloud storage is fine for people who want to use it...i don't!
i have a NAS and keep all my pictures, videos and documents on it. i point these folders on my windows computers to the NAS. i ran all the F1 games i owned (19-24) with this setup and had no issues. something changed in 25. what i really wish is that there was some config to change the location of this folder "\documents\My Games\F1 25" so that I didn't have to lose my mapping to all my other documents and that I could just point this game's folder to a local drive. maybe there is some config option to change this location and if anyone knows, please share.
i think this game crash is caused my multiple underlying factors related to the anti-cheat because people have reported different "fixes" working for them. that makes it hard to troubleshoot. as a software developer, i understand how hard this can be. where EA is at fault here is not providing any meaningful logs or other messages to point us to the right solution when the game does crash and then just giving generic advice like make sure you are up to date.
good luck to all the people who still have the issue.
