Ideas
Hello,
I would like to report a force feedback issue in EA SPORTS F1 25 on PC.
Hardware:
- Wheelbase: Fanatec CSL DD 8 Nm
- Steering wheel: Fanatec ClubSport Steering Wheel Formula V2.5
- Pedals: Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V3 with integrated load cell brake
- Platform: PC
Fanatec software and firmware:
- Fanatec App: version 1.5.3.1
- Wheelbase firmware: 1.9.2.3
- Motor firmware: 1.1.2.2
Issue:
The wheelbase works correctly in the Fanatec App. The steering input is accurate, calibration is normal, and the force feedback works correctly when the issue is not present.
However, in F1 25, the wheel starts oscillating violently from left to right whenever I move from one session to another in the same event. For example:
- Q1 to Q2
- Q2 to Q3
- Q3 to the race
After the new session loads, the wheel can begin shaking aggressively from left to right while the car is stationary or driving in a straight line. The car becomes impossible to control.
The only workaround is to physically switch the CSL DD wheelbase off and on again. After restarting the wheelbase, it works normally again, but the same issue returns after the next session transition.
Additional information:
- The issue occurs specifically in F1 25.
- The issue occurs during session transitions in the same event.
- The wheelbase responds correctly in the Fanatec App.
- I tested a previous version of the Fanatec App, but the issue remained.
- The issue seems to have started after a recent F1 25 update in September 2026.
- No hardware changes were made before the issue started.
- This does not appear to be a steering calibration or input-detection problem.
- I can provide a video showing the oscillation immediately after a session transition, followed by the wheelbase restart that temporarily resolves it.
Please investigate whether there is a force feedback initialization or session-transition issue affecting Fanatec CSL DD wheelbases.
Best regards,

I have the same issue, I play with csl dd 8nm. It happened also driving f2, between the sessions. Also in lobby on line from q session to race. It s not a wonderful thing.
