Game Crashing When going into pits

On PC through Steam : In a Single Player Driver Career mode, with a custom character, my game is repeatedly crashing during the practice session of the Chinese GP. its a full length season so this is round 2, round 1 i had no crashes and no issues. when doing practice programs my game will freeze and crash to desktop without an error message at all. It happens when opening pause and returning to pits or by driving into pits, when driving into pits it does not crash until the car is pushed into the garage. my hardware is no bad and my settings are lowered compared to round 1. i was on latest Nvidia Game ready Drivers and changed to Latest Studio Drivers but still having issues. i have restarted multiple times, played the game with nothing else open. played the game with out using Alt + Tab after launch. attached is the dxdiag file. and the Report code is below.
