After the game was updated on 7/21, every time I start the game, Windows HDR is automatically turned on, and the color contrast after starting the game is too strong, making it impossible to play the game properly. The whole screen is reddish, which does not happen when I start F124 or other games. The HDR item in the game settings is closed and cannot be changed. Please tell me what to do to play the game with the normal colors before the update. My playing environment is PC.CPU;AMD RYZEN7 7800X3D 8core. GB;NVIDIA GeForce RTX4070SUPER.Monitor;BenQ EX2710S

Exactly the same problem here. In my case, it breaks the game in F1 25. Everything is extremely redish. It is turning HDR ON by itself while I don't want HDR ON.

What you have to do for further notice is go into the game files and scroll down to F1_25.exe.
Right click the F1_25.exe and then go to properties
Go to compatibility tab and tick "Use legacy display ICC color management" then save/close.

My hero! It worked!
Still, there is a bug with the frames of the game. Even though I'm limiting it to 120, it keeps unlocked all the time, frames around 210-250 nonstop. - teotete053 days agoNew Spectator
I tried enabling "Use legacy display ICC color management" in the compatibility settings for F1_25.exe, but unfortunately the game still launches with HDR active, even though HDR is turned off in Windows and I'm using the -nohdr launch option in Steam. Is there anything else I can try to prevent the game from forcing HDR on startup?

Go to \Documents\My Games\F1 25\hardwaresettings\hardware_settings_config.xml
Change <hdr mode="1" peakNits="1000" /> to <hdr mode="0" peakNits="1000" /> it worked for me, as legacy color managment change didn't

I finally managed to find the issue.
Even though I had already checked the "Use legacy display ICC color management" option, the real solution was editing the game's hardware configuration files. You can find them here:
C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\F1 25\hardwaresettings\hardware_settings_config.xmlThen look for the hdr_mode entry and set its value to "0".
I hadn't thought of this earlier simply because the in-game settings always showed HDR as off, so I assumed it was disabled in the config files too — but apparently it wasn’t.

I didn’t see your comment right away and literally this afternoon I thought about checking the config files myself.
Thanks anyway I appreciate it!
