Logitech G29 causing freezing and lag on race starts.

Having issues during race starts, pit exits, and on a hot  lap exit. On a race starts the OSD will not appear until all 5 lights are lit or the when they go out. During this the start lights are also not visible until all five are lit or util the race start. During a pit exit every thing seems fine until the pit exit line then a large lag spike and frame drop. During hot lap exit every thing seem ok until the start light count down ends then a large large lag spike and frame drop. These issues only occur when using a logitech G29 wheel if a controller is used the game works fine. For troubleshooting made sure chipset and graphics drivers are up to date and windows is updated. Also the most current version of Ghub and most current drivers for the G29 wheel. Also tried using each usb port no usb hubs were used. No overclocks are applied and I have tried running the game on the lowest settings, default and maxed out. Have also verified the game files in steam and did a full reinstall.
