Platform: PC (Steam)
Wheel: Logitech G923 for PlayStation, set to PC mode
G HUB version: latest
Issue: Force feedback in F1 25 is only partially working. I can clearly feel and hear the wheel react to kerbs, grass, and off-track surfaces - those texture/vibration effects come through correctly. However, the core force feedback that should come from actual driving - cornering load, braking weight transfer, general road resistance - is completely absent. The wheel motors are audibly active (I can hear them energize) but produce no real torque during normal driving, only for these surface-texture events.
This is isolated entirely to F1 25 - the same wheel produces full, correct force feedback in every other racing title I've tested. The issue is present in the menus too: there's no dynamic feedback tied to actual driving, only these surface-rumble effects.
Troubleshooting already done, all with no change:
- FFB strength set to maximum in-game
- Disabled Steam Input override for the game (Properties > Controller > Override for F1 25 > Disabled)
- Updated G HUB to the latest version and updated wheel firmware
- Verified integrity of game files via Steam
- Tried different USB ports
- Confirmed the wheel works correctly (full FFB) in other games on the same PC, same session
- Confirmed the wheel must stay in PC mode to be usable at all - switching to PlayStation mode restores some feedback but breaks all input recognition, so it's not a viable workaround
This strongly suggests the game isn't sending the core constant-force/spring FFB effects to the wheel, while surface-texture rumble effects are unaffected - a specific gap in F1 25's force feedback implementation for the G923, not a driver or hardware fault.
I have the same problem & only with EA F125, all my other games work fine
