Random FFB loss and sudden force spikes to left and right

Bug Description:

While playing F1 25 on PC, my Logitech G920 wheel randomly experiences severe Force Feedback issues. Out of nowhere, the wheel suddenly applies strong force pushing hard to either the left or right side on its own. These spontaneous force spikes last for about 2 seconds before returning to normal. Additionally, I occasionally experience brief, complete losses of Force Feedback during gameplay.

Troubleshooting / Isolation Tests Performed:

- Repaired Game Files: Verified game files via Steam to rule out corrupted game installation files.

- Tested on Xbox Series S (F1 23): Works perfectly with no FFB drops or sudden force spikes.

- Tested on PC (Assetto Corsa): Works completely fine with normal FFB behavior.

This issue is isolated specifically to F1 25 on PC and is not caused by faulty hardware or corrupted base game files.

I have attached a video clip demonstrating this issue. In the clip, the unexpected steering input causes the car to turn sharply off-track involuntarily.

  • Hi EA_cuervo,

    Here are the requested details:

    1. Firmware & Driver Versions:

    - Firmware: 96.4.50

    - Driver: 26.0.0.0

    2. Setup & Peripherals:

    - Configuration: Logitech G920 wheel with standard stock pedals and Logitech Driving Force Shifter.

    - USB Connection: Connected directly to the motherboard via a USB 2.0 port.

    - Software: Currently using Logitech G HUB (version 2026.5). As a troubleshooting step, I uninstalled G HUB and tried the legacy Logitech Gaming Software (v9.04), but the issue persisted without any improvement. I have since reinstalled G HUB.

    3. In-Game FFB Settings:

    • The issue occurs with both the default developer wheel settings and my custom Force Feedback settings.

    Additional Clip Info:
I have attached a second clip showing another example. Right after opening DRS, the wheel violently pulls/forces itself to the left, then auto-centers shortly after and snaps hard to the right before returning to normal.

Hope this helps the team investigate. Let me know if you need any additional information.

Hi BlockBuster2KSVF, thanks for reporting this.

We’ve raised the issue with the team, and they’d like a bit more information to help with the investigation.

When you get a chance, could you please provide the following:

    1. Your Logitech G920 driver and firmware versions.
    2. Your full PC setup and connected peripherals, including:
      • Wheel, pedal, and shifter configuration
      • USB port or connection type being used
      • Whether Logitech G HUB is installed and running
    3. Whether the issue happens when using the default F1 25 wheel settings, or only when using custom Force Feedback settings.

Thanks for your help and cooperation.
