[Solved] Very specific game crash but nowhere else?

That specific race worked fine on my PS5, so it must be a PC glitch. My memory is a little fuzzy (I did early access), but I think completing that race unlocks the Engineering mode...so perhaps there are corrupt files related to Engineering mode. Not an expert on PC gaming, but I would try reinstalling the game.

I already had engineering unlocked at this point because I completed the prerequisite races required in other f1 world events, and yeah I've tried to verify files, but will try and simply reinstall the game and follow up

UPDATE: reinstalling game didnt work, other things ive tried is turning off dlss, changing to windowed mode, turning off 3d sound, testing with my hmd disabled - im sorta at a loss now

will also try and delete local save files, any idea where that's located?

No idea, sorry. The Codemasters team is watching this forum currently, so hopefully you get a response from them soon. (They are obviously very busy right now.)

Ah Hah! Found the issue

I run steam as a administrator, which isn't the default, I turned that off and restarted steam normally and the crash is gone

I suspect it may have been conflicting with the EAC files
