ThrustMaster TX and SF1000 not detected

I have the ThrustMaster TX Hub with SF1000 Wheel and T-LCM Pedals.  They are not being detected by F1 25 running via Steam.  All I see are keyboard options.

I exceed all the system requirements.  All my drivers and firmware are up to date.  I have re-installed the game, re-installed the ThrustMaster drivers, re-installed the ThrustMaster firmware. I have tried with both in and out of TLCM mode.  I have unplugged other USB peripherals (other than keyboard/mouse) and I am not connected through a USB hub.

F1 24 detects the wheel and pedals, iRacing detects them, and DCS detects them.  All buttons/pedals are working Control Panel / Game Controllers and can be calibrated.  It's showing as ThrustMaster Advanced Mode Racer - Status OK.  I've also chosen for it to default to that for older games under Advanced settings.

In the F1 25/actionmaps folder, I noticed that several of the .xml files will not open due to one or two syntax errors.  I went in and corrected all the files (Find " "Re " and you will find 1 or two lines where there is no space between the quotes and 'Read'.  Adding the space and saving the file then allows the files to open).  The remarks on the files state, "To ensure the use of this data map in the game make sure the file name is valid in the dictionary file and that the database has been modified correctly."  I believe this is where the problem exists, but I do not have the ability to modify them.

Same issue with the T LCM brake pedal. This didn't work for me in F1 24 either. No idea how to get this fixed but it's crazy it works everywhere else and other EA titles. Why are we going backwards with new games?

UPDATE:  With some further follow up looking into the /actionmaps folder and files:

    • The thrustmaster_advanced_racer.xml file seems to be the only one in which the ActionMapName is "tm ..." instead of "thrustmaster_ ..."  so it seems a naming convention changed and I'm wondering if this is not reflected in the database - resulting in these wheels not being detected.

I've tried all sorts of changes in the .xml file such as changing the ActionMapName to "thrustmaster_advanced_racer" (This is the name in the F1 24 .xml file and it detects properly), "thrustmaster_advanced_racer_sf1000", "tm_advanced_racer" , but without knowing what the actual name that's being used in the database, this is just a crap shoot.

I've also tried copying the ActionMap code to the keyboard .xml file just to see if I could at least get it to load the name from there, but no success.

  • SOLVED:

Apparently, a known issue back in F1 22 was that BitDefender was blocking Thrustmaster inputs.  I never had the problem in F1 24, so looks like it's creeped back in.  I had to go to the Advanced Threat Detection and add an exception for F1_25.exe.  Now everything works great.

EA_Groguet - Given how many people are having issues with Thrustmaster, this issue should be listed prominently along with the updating video card drivers on the Community-Raised Issues page.  Thanks
