I am playing on a 7800x3d/9070xt.Firstly there is a bug that I first encountered on f1 24,xess doesn't work and instead the game shows a blackscreen with all of the xess presets. The second bug has to do with for upscaling. It doesn't matter if I have fsr 4 enabled in the amd adrenaline app because it happens with either fsr 3 or 4.The game doesn't provide a substantial fps boost (example 55 fps native -> 60 fsr quality) and in other cases it even tanks the performance (example 165 fps native -> 66 fsr quality) even though is seems to fully utilize my gpu(100% usage)

Upscaling Bug

I have a 9070xt and I have the same problem with fsr, but my game is also crashing, and freezing the whole pc that I have to restart. I have 25.5.1

XESS is an Intel technology? You have an AMD setup. They support FSR modes.
Nvidia and Intel can use FSR, it's more open. Bad team green and team blue.

Point me to where. No mention of AMD on Intel XESS pages and supported games list.
No mention of XESS on AMDs 9070 product pages. I believe XESS may be supported on some Intel CPUs with Radeon cores but not AFAIK Radeon discreet GPUs.
SteveJackson apparently it's true, according to ChatGPT Intel has made XESS compatibile with cards from other vendors, there's a performance fall off though due to the lack of XMX AI accelerators.

XESS is available on all graphics cards. I wish people would educate themselves before posting their opinion-facts.
Can confirm FSR is bugged in this game. 9070XT here with the correct driver. Many many crashes, making the game unplayable. Turning on FSR 3 or 4 actually reduces the FPS that can be achieve without upscaling (roughly 130 fps for me, drops to 40). Wild stuff. - rmzy302 months agoSeasoned Newcomer
hey all, a friendly F1 enthusiast in a discord pointed me to this driver patch. It seems to fix the FSR issue AS WELL as the crashes - I have only had 30 minutes time to test but have had no crashes since installing this driver patch (if you are on AMD).
Give it a shot

Hey there,
I think this is related to this:
- Graphics | XeFG non-functional on Intel hardware (PC Only)
- ❗Note from Dev: XeSS Frame Generation is not working as expected at launch and will be fixed in a forthcoming patch.
For future information, please check our F1® 25 - Community-Raised Issues thread.
