After a lot of experimentation, I think I have found out the root cause of all this freezing mess. Its related to the "Watch Full Match Intro" setting in Settings > Game Settings > Match. When set to 'Opt-in' or 'Never', game runs fine. But when it is set to 'Always', it results in freeze during ucl matches. Its also been observed that if set to 'Opt-in' and we do Opt in for intro by holding the relevant button, then again game freezes during ucl matches. So in short, Full match intros are bugged which should not happen. In fc24 there were no intros at all and in fc25 these intros are plagued with bugs. Its not related to graphics drivers or overlay conflicts at all, it is an in-game bug.
