Usually restarting the game, sort these naming placeholder issue. If proper naming was not shown for you then you should have waited for some time. I am not sure what you can do now.
"Companion App, the app didn't wan't to launch, because it said it was already logged in a different device." - This means you didn't logged out properly. When switching from game to app or vice versa, always wait for few mins.
This issue has always been in my game since I installed it, I've tried to reinstall it but it never worked. I've even tried to repair the game multiple times and still appeared as "AcademySlot..."
Can't EA like give me the pick back, can't I send an email to them? And if I can do that, how or where do I ask them?

It could be issue with platform where you are playing the game like cache, connection etc. I am not sure on this.
