I would like to report a bug I encountered in EA FC 26 Career Mode (Manager).
Issue:
I am unable to renew the contract of a player who is already in my club, no matter how many times I t...
Ideas
-Contracts: unable to hold contract renewal talks with any player. Contracts expire, player leaves for free or board force you to sell at a cut price. Insane.
-Boots: all player teams boots will revert to default black boots.
-Repeated lighting issues in contract cutscenes: same as last year, the second a model is hit by a light source (during contract negation with new signing) they have white hair, looks ridiculous.
-Clipping: clipping everywhere. Clothes clipping (tie through jackets) arms clipping through body’s. Way worse all round on last year.
-Career mode: in general yet another lazy copy and paste but with a ground breaking RNG feature of your player might eat a dodgy lasagne the day before the champions league final and be ruled out. O_o
-Youth Academy: copy and pasted. Still can’t assign a scout to search for a GK simultaneously with a DEF/MID/ATK even though all outfield positions can be scouted by 1 scout simultaneously. Which means one scout only searches for a GK and by the end of the season half your academy are GK’s.
-Gameplay: if a shot is on target-hits the keeper-goes in, way too often this is given as an own goal.
Difficulty is way off. So much easier than last year.
Random freezes/no way to input a command without tabbing through career mode tabs.
No crash to desktop but a few hard freezes in a few days.
Payed an extra £30 for early access as a 100% career mode only player (since FIFA 04) early access was more expensive alone than all FIFA’s up until around FIFA 12/13. Yet FIFA 08/09 era had the ability to do so much more in career. You could bank transfer funds and upgrade your stadium for a significant cost (Arsenal/Tottenham experience) which felt more realistic than this RNG, bugged, copy and pasted mess of a release state.
And before people cry saying ThEy DoN’t CaRe AbOuT cArEeR mOdE, go drink another prime and pay for another ultimate team pack. The game should be STABLE across the board even if some modes are obviously going to get more attention. Career should not release so clearly broken just because ultimate team is the cash cow.
FACTS!
I have a lot of the same feelings but I’m not getting the boot bug or the issue with contracts. For the first time ever, some players are refusing to sign if they don’t get minutes or maybe declined in skill and want to go to MLS or something. It’s actually quite nice but I’m able to re-sign most of my guys. Are you on pc? I saw you mentioned desktop. I’m playing on console so maybe a pc only issue. Don’t get me wrong, console is full of bugs too.
Every year "Early Access" feels more and more like a scam. They release a, not exaggerating, unplayable game. Who in this world gets away with charging more for early access only to deliver an unusable product? EA is a JOKE!
Not to mention editing tactics and formations in settings won’t save when you load up a new career mode after, the work put in for career mode is pathetic
I paid $80 for this and it feels like a half-finished, bug-infested mess. They’re selling a premium-priced game that’s barely functional, and weeks later there’s still no real fix. It’s honestly embarrassing that this is being marketed as a finished product.
Its so true that the game is buggy , I bought the game in December and I started a career mode instantly , not to my surprise the replays of a goal after scoring it wouldnt show most of the times I scored , although this issue was fixed with a recent update it highlights how little you care about the game and the player experience and how much you care about money and advertising a game that is not worth the price youre giving it , at this state even if it was free it would still be not worth it , so maybe since you cant keep up updating the current game and making the next seasons game , maybe just maybe consider ditching next years game , and just update the current FC 26 to the next season's transfers and kits . This way you actually deliver a decent game in the 2027/2028 season. But no this just a fantasy , you don't care for anything else other than money.
