Community ManagerThis has been a recent change in FC 26, where players in the last year of their contract will not be willing to renew their contract right away.
Instead, over time, depending on variables like morale and matches played, they can become willing to expand the contract.
We've actually highlighted that change in our Career Deep Dive. I'd recommend reading through it all to better understand the intricacies and new changes in FC 26.
Can you take some time to actually read what the community is saying?
We don't have a problem with it being harder to negotiate player contracts in the last year.
But it is definitely a problem if a player has just renewed a contract and weeks later is asking for a higher salary. This should not happen. Even if it does, the game does not allow you to renew the contract again and the player gets put into the transfer list. This is a bug! How can a player thank you for renewing his contract and saying they are happy then suddenly become unhappy in a matter of weeks???
I can't believe they haven't fixed this or at least looked at it, even a blind man can see that this needs fixing.
