Just catching up on this thread. I’ve read the official EA response at the top and there is not a chance this is working as intended. I’m three seasons in and I’ve not been able to negotiate with any players. Lazy response by the developers.
Onto the fix I use… which is ridiculous and another bug within the game… you can sell the players for a massive price (top end of what they are worth) then buythem back the same day (sometimes for around 30 million less than what I just sold). I used to immerse myself in career mode, this is ruining it for everyone by the sound of it. This was something you could do anyway and I’m sure a lot of people already do, but it’s one way to give players a new contract.
