Champions: Opponent quits, game freezes, I get the loss - wtf EA?

I played a Champions match, was leading 6–3, and then my opponent quit. However, the game got stuck — it just kept showing replays, and I couldn’t press anything. After waiting for 10 (!) minutes, I closed the game manually.

When I logged back in, I was greeted with a “You have quit the match” screen, and it counted as a loss.

Thanks, that’s it for me. Either I get the win awarded immediately, or I’m done with Ultimate for this season. I can cheat myself just as well.
