Duplicate player Bug

When I transfer certain players using Edit Teams → Club Transfers, the player is duplicated instead of being moved correctly.

Instead of leaving their original club and joining the new club, the player remains at their original club while also appearing at the new club. This results in the same player existing on two different teams at the same time.

The issue only affects certain players, but once it occurs, the squads become inaccurate and it makes creating updated squads impossible.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Launch EA SPORTS FC 26 on PS4.
  2. Go to Customize → Edit Teams → Club Transfers.
  3. Transfer certain players from one club to another.
  4. Save the squad file.
  5. Check both clubs.

Expected Result:
The player should be removed from their original club and appear only at the new club.

Actual Result:
The player remains at the original club while also appearing at the new club, creating a duplicate.

Frequency:
Occurs consistently with certain players.

Additional Information:

  • I am using the latest squad update.
  • Restarting the game and saving the squads does not permanently resolve the issue.
  • This bug makes it very difficult to create accurate custom squads before starting Career Mode.

Please investigate this issue, as it has a significant impact on players who use Edit Teams to create updated squads.

    I noticed the same issue with youri tielemans, do not know what to do and if i click reset all sqauds. The sqauds go back to before the summer transfer window so isak is back on newcastle and semenyo is back on bournemouth etc.

    Basically, some players get duplicated because, instead of moving the player from one club to another, the game moves them from their national team to a club. As a result, they remain in their original club, and they also stay in the national team.

    I found a solution!

    I'll use Güler as an example. If I go to:

    Settings → Edit Teams → Club Transfers

    and search for Güler, I see that he's assigned to Turkey instead of Real Madrid. (Which doesn't make much sense since we're in a menu called "Club Transfers," but anyway...)

    So if I try to move Güler to another club besides Real Madrid, he gets duplicated.

    The only solution is to go to:

    Settings → Edit Teams → National Teams

    Select Turkey, since Güler is Turkish and selected for the national team, then remove him from the list of selected national team players.

    After doing that, if I transfer Güler, it works correctly and he is no longer duplicated.
