Whenever I try to change a position or substitute someone in team management, the game locks the player in the position. I also cannot move players to the bench or the reserves, it leaves them on default. This happens whenever I load the game up, and it's really annoying and I have no solution to this.

If any of you guys have a solution to this, please let me know, as I believe this is apparent to only PS5.
I managed to fix this, but on PC. I had to delete all the squad files and personal settings from the file in the appdata: C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\EA Sports FC 26 (make sure you have hidden files set to visible - on PS5/Xbox you might also try to do this in-game: go to Settings, Profile and in bottom left "Delete". I don't know if this will work, I only did it through appdata. There is a risk this will delete your career saves, and tournaments, but I think they should be saved in the cloud, not sure though.
Then when I started the game again I was able to make changes to the squads.
For me the bug started when I tried to make changes to squads in the squads menu that you access from the main menu after start screen. The bug also affected only the teams that I tried to edit in the squads menu.
same here..i wanted to play with germany in a kick off game and i can't change the squad or the reserves

I've found the solution guysss!!!!!, just fill in all the players in the res. dont let it blank, and the problem solved. thanks me later
Same issue here. Deleted reserve space, sheets and squad. And won't let me sub in or out
Every time my friend and I play coop seasons if we try and alter the default lineup in team management it glitches back to the team that was originally loaded in. We can switch teams but have to play with the default lineup and formation. PS5
