FC 26 PC slow motion gameplay after a few minutes

After starting a match gameplay is normal for the first few minutes but after 5 to 15 minutes the match goes into slow motion this is not a typical FPS drop because FPS remains stable and menus stay smooth while only in match gameplay speed becomes very slow this happens in Kick Off Career Mode and Ultimate Team and occurs regardless of hardware restarting the game temporarily fixes the issue many users are reporting the same problem on EA forums and this appears to be a game engine or timing issue rather than a hardware related problem
