[FC26] EA App Error: "Game failed to launch due to a platform error"
Hello,
When I try to launch EA SPORTS FC 26 from EA App, the following happens:
1. I click "Play" in EA App.
2. EA App shows loading and the small FC26 launch window appears.
3. The screen goes black for about 5–6 seconds.
4. The game window closes automatically, EA App returns to the game page, and an error pops up:
"The game failed to launch due to a platform error. Please try again later."

🖥️ My Environment:
- OS: Windows 11 Pro
- CPU: Intel i7-12700
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5080
- RAM: 32 GB
- EA App: latest version
✅ What I have tried:
- Clear EA App cache
- Repair EA App
- Uninstall & reinstall EA App
- Repair FC26 game files
- Uninstall & reinstall FC26
- Disable antivirus / firewall, and added EA App + FC26 to the whitelist
- Run EA App as administrator
- Tested other EA games (they launch fine, only FC26 fails)
👉 Special Note:
- From last week until Wednesday, the game could launch normally.
- I didn’t play on Thursday.
- On Friday, after updating the game, the issue started.
- Other EA titles still launch without issues, so this seems to be specific to FC26 after the latest update.
Could you please help check if this is a known issue after the recent update, or if there are any additional steps / patches required?
