"Highlight Mode" PK shoot outs lead to automatic misses

Im playing in a player career mode and when I do highlights as my player, and I tie the game and go to a PK shoot out, the resulting first penalty is always a miss even if It goes in. The announcer yells "OH hes missed!", goalkeeper runs to celebrate even tho he just got chiped...
