Player Career – Match ball not awarded after using Request Sub

Platform: PC (Steam)

Input device: Keyboard

Game mode: Player Career

Position: Striker

ISSUE

A created player who scores a hat-trick or more may not receive the match ball when Request Sub is used before the final whistle and the rest of the match is simulated.

I observed this after my created player scored 5 of the team’s 9 goals. I selected Request Sub before full time, the remainder of the match was simulated, and the created player did not receive the match ball during the post-match sequence.

When I repeated the scenario without using Request Sub and remained on the pitch until the final whistle, the match-ball animation worked correctly and the created player received the ball.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Step 1: Start a match in Player Career.

Step 2: Score at least 3 goals with the created player.

Step 3: Before the final whistle, open the pause menu and select Request Sub.

Step 4: Allow the remainder of the match to simulate to completion.

Step 5: Watch the post-match sequence and check which player receives the match ball.

Step 6: Repeat the test while remaining on the pitch until the final whistle.

EXPECTED RESULT

A player who scores a hat-trick or more should receive the match ball even when substituted through Request Sub.

ACTUAL RESULT

After using Request Sub, the created player may not receive the match ball. When the player remains in the match until the final whistle, the match-ball animation works correctly.

This suggests that the match-ball state may be lost during the transition from active gameplay to simulation after Request Sub. Please review the post-match award logic for substituted Player Career players.
