Player Career Mode - Incapable AI Teammates
I like to play player career mode only controlling my player. My teammates in player career mode cannot not construct an attack or truly defend as consistently at all. Meanwhile the CPU can string together 10 passes in a row but we cannot link up 3. This has been an issue for quite some time now, since likely FIFA 20. FIFA 17 and 18 had much better teammates.
There are instances where my teammates constantly make backwards progress by always passing the ball backwards, or dribbling to the sideline and not passing the ball. Or when I am open, they make the decision to shoot an unreasonable shot or not pass to me, but in cases where I am not open, they force the pass to me even if its a 180 degree pass behind them and they don’t backheel pass in that case.
My players don’t close down attackers in dangerous areas unless I call for help by pressing R1.
Why is this the case? Why isn’t the AI of both teams using the same logic? It’s painful to see the opposing team playing such great football and my team are playing at the level of toddlers. I’ve tried adjusting the difficultly setting and playing with sliders. Nothing helps.
