Playstation Tournament Bug

I entered the Playstation tournament today for the first time. I joined my lobby as instructed when paired with an opponent, but my opponent never joined the lobby within the time limit. After the time limit was up the lobby closed as expected but it gave me a loss for no reason. No i have to wait until the next tournament. Looking at the tournament tree I also noticed my opponent is into the next round somehow. Seems completely unfair and is happening at all levels of the tournament.
