Severe Lag & Time Desync in Clubs Mode After October Update

My friends and I have been playing EA Sports FC 26 Clubs mode (Hong Kong servers). Everything worked fine before the major October update. However, since that update, one of my friends (who is in Singapore) experiences extreme lag and time desynchronization every time we play Clubs league matches.

The issue occurs like this:

During the first minute of a match, everything runs smoothly.

After about one minute, his game starts to stutter heavily, and the in-game timer becomes asynchronous — for example, when our game clock shows 5 minutes, his shows only 3 minutes.

His player eventually freezes in place, and he cannot move anymore.

The strange part is:

Other modes (such as Rush or offline matches) run perfectly fine — no lag, no delay, no performance issues.

Lowering his graphics settings temporarily improved the issue (he could play one full match, still slightly laggy, but playable), but the second match immediately became unplayable again.

When we play with fewer players, the issue improves significantly. When more players join (in Clubs mode), the lag and desync return.

We have tested:

Network connections: all players use stable, wired Ethernet connections.

Hardware: all PCs meet or exceed recommended specs.

Servers: we all play on the Hong Kong region.

Because this only happens in Clubs Mode (and scales with the number of players), it seems to be a synchronization or performance issue specific to the Clubs server or client-side handling of multiplayer data after the October update.

Please investigate this issue. It makes Clubs mode almost unplayable for us, even though other online modes work perfectly.
