Shooting bug, Career mode (PC)

Hi I'm having an issue where all my players are unable to carry out shots on or off target with any power or lift whatsoever, i thought initially it was because all my players were terrible, as i like to start with a fresh newly made club with the worst players and work my way up.

However as time has gone on my players still have the shooting power of an infant that's just learned to walk. 

I've tried adjusting settings with no change, disabled the Steam input with no change, I've tested it under the learn to play mode, i get full shot power as indicated by the bar and still it translates to a two year olds shot power. I'm sure i can record this if need be.
