swapping pro clubs players

hello all I have a friend who hasn't been able to play pro clubs for the past two years because everytime we play with him in rush or in league we swap players I control his character he controls someone else. It always switches sometimes he controls someone else but in the end no one controls there own player please help really want him to play. we both play xbox if it helps but even when I don't play with him it still happens the glitch
