Co-op nametags lagging

So i was just messing around with a friend and after just looking at a menu and hopping back in my friends nametag was all screwed up, its like it forgot where its owner went so it just froze in place and same on the minimap. atleast i could see his player character :D

in the screenshot he is at the marker he placed east, but the map show's he's nowhere near.
