Constant lag / slow performance

Okay, yes I’m on a PS4 (not the best console to be playing on) but I have updated the game and it’s so so slow to play. Lots of lag and doesn’t run smooth at all. Tried playing with a friend (they were on a PS5) and even they were having lots of issues with the smoothness of play. 

if you’re not going to fix this, can we have an offline mode to take some strain from connectivity? 

p.s have any of you ever skated before? Or been to a skate park? Go talk to skaters and maybe go to a local skate store and figure out what skate culture is before you make a game.
