Controller inputs mixed up

I have an 8BitDo Ultimate 2C wired controller which I have been using to play Skate. with since insider.

The latest update for season 2 has completely mixed up my controller inputs (L1 is now A, L2 is B, etc.) and even assigned pushing and slowing to the L4 and R4 buttons, which I have never used in skate. The game also doesn't recognize the Y axis on my right stick, meaning I am unable to do tricks at all.

None of my hardware has changed and the controller is fully functional in other games.
It could be a good idea to add a menu for custom key rebinding & controller mapping to prevent this from being an issue in future.
