Ideas
On PC (Steam) ever since season 1 launched it will quite often hard lock my PC on boot after the splash screen (when the Skate logo usually loads). When this happens I have to reboot and cannot close the game.
Only workaround I've found is immediately tabbing out of the game and waiting until I hear the intro before tabbing back in.
I've tried reinstalling the game, repairing / updating EA anti cheat and nothing seems to fix it. Was never an issue before season 1.
This is exactly my experience, starting at the same time (two patches ago). Before that build, the game would often black screen (no monitor signal) momentarily before recovering while booting the game up. It seems like maybe the game has recently had trouble initializing the GPU driver, which worsened a couple patches ago. I noticed also that verifying files often (always?) replaces 3 missing files which prompt anticheat installation, but this might be intended.

Where/when crashing: Maybe 50-75%+ of the time I launch the game the screen stays black after the game window maximizes. I can hear the logo noise and ambient menu sounds but the computer will lock up after ~10 seconds of black screen, which is when I hear an error popup (probably a game error about GPU, but I can't read it as the computer is locked up and needs to be hard reset)
